TRI was among the first to provide full-text access to engineers, scientists, researchers, corporations, and government agencies. That work helped launch the modern document delivery industry and led to the birth of the Copyright Clearance Center, where we’ve been active members since the beginning. Expanding Into Specialized Research Over time, our reputation grew for tracking down the “difficult-to-acquire” document. From there, it was a natural step to broaden into business and market research. Soon, we were providing background for companies, industries, products, speeches, and even non-patent prior art searches. Our skills also proved invaluable to television shopping networks, where accuracy in facts and figures is critical.
